Most days, if you don't find me in scrubs, with a coffee in my hand, at the hospital, I am meeting up with other nurses virtually or in person to chat all things nurse lifestyle!

I am happiest when I am able to share time with my husband, Mustafa! I am a Cardiac (Night Shift) RN + Nurse-lifestyle Coach. I am passionate about loving WHERE you are and WHO you are. Embracing the journey and self-care are my two MOST favorite subjects to talk about!

My life style? Wholesome. Its about loving all of who you are no matter what is going on around you. Perfection is not what I aim for and never will. Focusing on not just exercise and well-rounded nutrition BUT ALSO mindset and self-care is KEY to success as a professional!

I support nursing students and novice nurses while they are navigating the waters of our incredible, but exhausting profession. We will chat about how to function during your clinical, while studying for your NCLEX, during your orientation and how to survive once you are a newbie all on your own. Hey… we may even throw in some “How to care for yourself on your day off” blog/vlog posts in there, too. I am about all things nursing INSIDE and outside of the profession, because let’s be real… its not ALL about the job!

I used to struggle with balance. I had so many questions, so much uncertainty and anxiety about what was coming next in my career. I want to shed light on topics that were NOT made clear to me and TRULY help other nurses on their way into this profession of serving others.

Years from now I want you to STILL feel your best, all because you made the decision to change your LIFESTYLE and MINDSET now. Being happy inside and out is NOT about a 30 day fad or trying something new out for a week, its about ensuring that your lifestyle is able to yield lasting satisfaction and joy.

Enjoy the blog and the journey through this profession, hopefully through my journey, you can find some ways to relate and be inspired!

Novice Nurse of the Year 2017-2018

I was recently nominated for the Novice Nurse of the Year award at my hospital. I was shocked that I had been nominated and so honored when I found out that I had been chosen to accept the award. The nurse coordinators on my floor had nominated me for the award based off of my first year performance and attitude in general about my job.

I LOVE what I get to do as a nurse, being recognized for loving on patients only firms up that passion I have for working in service of others. I am so humbled by this experience and award and now use what I have learned to help other New Grad's succeed in their first year!

I am so grateful for the support and guidance I have received from the women in this picture! Kelly + Angie are standing closest to me on either side and are the women that nominated me for the award. Grace + Andrea are my nurse educators and were my preceptors throughout some of my orientation! These 4 women have contributed to my growth as a nurse more than they probably know!

Cassie + Angela are my 2 best friends from Nursing school! Without them, the work would've been IMPOSSIBLE!

Mustafa - my selfless husband! He supported us (financially + emotionally) entirely while I was going through nursing school and has been my biggest cheerleader. I am so blessed to have him in my life!
