#4: Building your resume for your first nursing job

Listen to this week’s episode by clicking play below <3

Hey future nurses! I want to chat with you today about resumes. We are specifically going to go over the basis of what you need in order to prepare your resume adequately for your first nursing job.

First things first, get in contact with your school to see if they have resources available to help build your resume. Many schools offer workshops and provide other resources to help get you started.

In this episode, I walk you through each section of a new grad resume and include tips that you’ll need in order to make sure that your resume is on point for nursing. I also emphasize formatting and precision, while discussing the importance of ensuring that your resume is easy to read. I want you to get in that nursing mind set and think about the fact that you are writing this resume for nothing other than getting your first nursing job.

I hope this episode is helpful for you in starting your nursing resume. If this is something you want to learn more about, know that the New Grad Master Class is open for registration and does include an Empower 90 journal and me as your mentor to help you through this transition from being a student to becoming an independent nurse. I remember being in this phase too: not knowing how to write a resume, interview, or apply to appropriate jobs, which is why I’ve created this New Grad Master class with YOU in mind, in order to best help YOU. If this is something that you feel could help you, head over to my Instagram @laceymagen or you can always email me at TheEmpoweredNurses@gmail.com and I will send you the link with all of the information. Alright, I would love to hear from you, see your resumes, and hear any other questions you may have about resume building! See you next week.
