This recipe has gotten me again! As you know... I am not much of a cook. I am all about eating healthy and clean but preparing a meal is NOT my favorite pass time. What I am about to share with you is SIMPLE to make, tasty, filling and something that you can make your own! Its great for a quick snack for the kiddos or with breakfast.
With so much of our population unable to eat bread or anything with gluten, options may be limited. Some people choose to cut down on gluten in their diet simply to just eat healthier... in my professional nursing opinion, that isn't a bad idea! Some of my BEST friends have gluten allergies so I am elated to be able to share this with those who can benefit from it!
To be honest the first time that I made this I had no idea what to expect. I thought it may be bland or not satisfy my body like a slice of bread or a whole wheat english muffin does. WELP that just was not the case.
For those outdoor activity junkies or distance runners that enjoy cliff bars... these reminded me of the consistency of a cliff bar without the added sugar! They are dense and filling. I cut them like an english muffin and top with nut butter, banana and honey. But feel free to use any topping of your choice!
